The Town Supervisor is an elected official who serves as the chief administrative officer of Town government, presiding over all Town Board meetings and directing the legislative and administrative functions of that body. Together with the four elected members of the Town Council, the Supervisor enacts ordinances, adopts a budget, oversees town-wide planning and zoning, establishes recreation areas along with various other responsibilities.
Elected to a four-year term by voters from the entire town, the Supervisor oversees all day-to-day operations within Town government. The Supervisor is also empowered to appoint a Deputy Supervisor who assists the Supervisor with various initiatives and stands in place of the Supervisor during an absence.
